Flags, captures and returns
Learn what a flag carrier needs and how to protect a capture.
LEARN BY DOINGOne concept. One practical step.
Read the essentials below, then try the exercise in a real match. Gameplay examples can be added to this lesson later.
THE ESSENTIALS PUT IT INTO PRACTICE
A player becomes a flag carrier after taking the enemy flag. Moving that flag back towards your own base is only part of the job: depending on the rules, your own team’s flag must also be in the required state for a capture to count.
Look at the flag indicators before taking an unnecessary duel. If your teammate is carrying, clearing a route or recovering your own flag may be more valuable than chasing kills.
During a match, call out when an enemy flag is taken, when your own flag is missing and when the carrier needs help.
